Prior to starting TAMOCO, Sam worked for six years at EE, the UK’s leading communications company where he worked within various roles, including the business development function, which was responsible for bringing the first contactless mobile payments service and contactless mobile ticketing service to the UK. Alongside this, Sam was also leading the development for non-payment related mobile NFC products and mobile data.
Throughout his career at EE, Sam has continuously pursued a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including The Executive Magazine – the UK’s leading free luxury men’s magazine, Executive Numbers – the UK’s first customised mobile phone numbers company and KACE London, which became a well-established phone accessories company, featuring on the likes of Groupon and Wowcher.
A 24-year-old British national, Sam holds a BA in History and received his LLB from the University of London in 2012. Sam lives in London with his family.
Before this, Maximilian worked as an investment strategist at ETF Securities and was previously a strategy consultant for retail conglomerate Kering, (formerly PPR).
A 23-year-old German national, Maximilian holds a BA in Retail Management after studying at UAL and LSE.
Previously, Daniel was Head of Business development at EE and Orange, heading up the launch of the first mobile contactless service in the UK as well as a range of loyalty mobile partnerships.
Before this, Daniel was responsible for building global partnerships within the Financial Times.
A British national, Daniel holds a BSc degree in Engineering Business Development.
Mr Kallasvuo was Chairman and CEO of Nokia Corporation from 2006 to 2010. Previously he held various executive positions at Nokia including President, COO, CFO, Head of Mobile Phones Division and Head of Nokia Americas. Mr Kallasvuo is today Vice-Chairman of SRV Group Plc, Vice-Chairman of TeliaSonera AB, and he is also a board member of Aperios Group, Zenterio AB and Foundation for Economic Education.
Mr Kallasvuo holds a Master of Laws and an honorary doctorate.
He started in Private Equity at 3i in London, in the 70’s. He went on to become General Manager of Capital Partners International, a German family business. In 1981, he moved to Spain as Senior Consulting Manager at KPMG. Later, he was Executive Director of the Venture Capital Fund “Euroventures” Spain, and was one of the key members of the team which successfully launched“Telepizza” into the Spanish stock market.
He is also a principal promoter and President of the SE Europe Private Equity Association.
He is a holder of a Law degree from the University of Exeter, and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
